If you've ever listened to TV Evangelists, you've heard the debate between the Prosperity Gospel and Poverty Gospel. One focuses on abundance while the other suggests we should sell all that we have. So which is right? What does it mean to be a good steward of what we've been given? Let's examine our hearts to see what God is telling us about how we manage the gifts of time and money.
Money. Does it bring happiness? Can it solve all of our problems? We talk about money because it affects some of the most important things in our lives and the Bible has a lot to say about it. God for sure doesn't want us to worry about it and wants to release our hearts from the burden of worrying. Are you ready to let God show you where your heart is when it comes to money?
A difficult question... that really cannot be answered in 30 minutes.. "Why did I get cancer? Why did my child have to die? Why did I lose my job? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why me, why now??"
Solomon even answers questions with questions regarding fairness. So what are we to do? Join us as we look to Psalm 73, which offers some survival tips that can help us navigate life in this unfair world.
Loneliness... an ever-growing problem in our high tech, low touch world. Reality is, our church is filled with lonely people. Some may "look" lonely, some may not. There are many different reasons for our loneliness including deep loss, life changes and crippling fear. Join us for a powerful service discovering hope in God's Word that will shed light on our darkest, loneliest days and send us right into Jesus' waiting, understanding arms.
Ever wonder how you fit into God's plan?
Solomon searched for significance and purpose in life through worldly pleasures and came up short. He recorded what he found in Ecclesiastes so we can avoid the same pointless search that he made.
Let's unpackage Ecclesiastes 3 together and discover how we can find significance in life when we put God and His plan in the center of our lives.
What makes you happy? Stuff? Friends? Work? Travel? Serving God? Let's see what the Bible has to say about our pursuit of happiness.
